Hi Susan my email is fj1fan@gmail.com
Not too sure but my mother talked about Wills tobacco and gardening for them whether at the factory or at the big house.

He rarely talked about the war, understandably, my mother, his daughter, told me most of what I know about those days. But he was a truly remarkable man. :-)

Hi Susan He was the most resourceful person I've ever met. He lost an arm and a lung in the first world war and yet he rode a bicycle to deliver post over a large area, and managed a massive garden doing all the digging himself plus all the building projects on his house, Hainment Cottage. He survived his wife Nellie and lived with one of sons in Hampshire until he died in 197? and was in reasonable health until the end.
